Is it Possible to Find a Good All-Natural Mascara? Yes.

Natural Mascaras | Makeup DetoxMost natural beauty buffs complain about finding a good all-natural mascara. Well I think they should quit their whining (was that mean?). I’ve found some great options. They might not be quite as waterproof or smudgeproof as their chemical counterparts, but pretty close. Basically you’ll be fine if it rains or you have a sobfest – well your mascara will be fine anyway – but you may get slight smudging should you go swimming for example. Keyword: slight.

I have three faves and here they are.

Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Mascara

They have black, pink and green tubes and I’m not sure what the difference is. I like the black one but they’re all pretty much the same as far as I can tell. Just be aware – not all Physician’s Formula products are clean – the Organic Wear line is pretty good but still check your ingredients. You can get these at most pharmacies for about 10$ (US). I think it’s around 17$ here in Canada. This mascara probably has the best volume of the three.

100% Pure Mascara

Most natural beauties love this one and I do too. They also have mini-sizes, which are cute and fun. This is the priciest option at 20$-26$, depending on where you buy it from. Buy it here (US) and here (Canada).

Honeybee Gardens

I’ve read mixed reviews of HBG mascara, but I really like it. It doesn’t offer the best volume but it makes up for it in length and staying power. At around 10$, it’s a bargain. You can even find Honeybee Gardens mascara on Amazon.

Have you tried any natural mascaras yet? What was your experience?

I’m loving reading through your reviews–natural makeup is so hard to find. I love 100% Pure Chocolate mascara. It goes on well, looks natural, doesn’t smear or cake and has the added bonus of smelling like chocolate (from cocoa powder).

Hey thanks Cat! Yes the 100% Pure mascaras are popular and they smell divine, in a totally natural way.

I like Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara. It’ve been using it consistently since 2010. It’s natural, affordable, easily accessible and works.

I’ll try the Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Fake Out Mascara soon.

I’ve used them both and can’t really tell much of a difference. I have the pink one now, I think it’s the ‘Fake Out’ one. Thanks for commenting! 🙂
