Natural eyeliners are a pretty easy switch. One of the things you may notice is it can take a moment for natural pencils to ‘soften’, so in the winter try holding the tip against the back of your hand for a minute or so, to warm it up and soften it.
Here are some great options.
ELF Cosmetics Mineral Eyeliner
ELF is the weirdest company – they’re completely mainstream and I wouldn’t touch most of their products, but they have a few hidden gems that are super inexpensive and have clean ingredients. Anyway I’m not complaining. These eyeliners don’t have the most refined point so if you’re looking to do a perfect cat-eye, this isn’t the best option. But I use these for everyday wear and for anything smudge-y – they’re perfect. And 3$? Yes please. *Check online for ELF Coupon and you may find deals on shipping.
Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Eyeliner
I got this a while ago and it’s one of my go-to’s that I wear all the time. In writing this post, I can’t find it on the PF site… maybe it’s discontinued, I don’t know. Anyway you may see it in a pharmacy. There’s nothing magical about it but it’s a good staple.
Honeybee Gardens Eyeliner
Yes HBG strikes again with their eyeliners! There’s not much to say except they work and they’re affordable. I enjoy the Blue Jeans color swatched above and they have other options. You can buy HBG eyeliners for 9$.
My absolute favorite liquid liner – natural or not is Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner. It’s awesome. It’s about 15$ in the US and I’ve seen it for 20$ here in Canada. It’s a bit pricier than the other options, but worth it!
A good runner up is The All-Natural Face’s Gel Eyeliner Tubes. They’re not quite as precise since the bristles fray a little bit, but they’re good too. For some reason the formula for the purple one seems better than the black, but that could be just me. These cost 5.75$.
*While I really like this company’s products and affordable pricing, I do have to say their customer service isn’t great. I’ve had emails go unanswered, which just isn’t cool for an online company. I still buy from them though – anytime I’ve called or gotten a response they’ve been very nice. I think the company just grew quickly and they probably didn’t hire accordingly.
You’re still here! Yay. That was a long one so you must really be into eyeliners. 😉
